As with many success stories, the origins of Swedish outdoor brand Haglöfs involve someone with a vision who had an exceptional talent for making things and really wasn’t happy with the status quo. A carpenter by trade, in 1914 Wiktor Haglöf was one such person who was determined to create a backpack that was tough enough to survive the incredibly harsh backcountry conditions of his native Sweden. Sitting down with his tool-box and enlisting his neighbour and their sewing machine, Wiktor succeeded in building an incredibly robust piece of kit to transport his tools. As well as setting the foundations for what is now one of the most highly respected outdoor brands in the world. Over 100 years later, Wiktor’s
desire to experiment and innovate remains a key part of the Haglöfs philosophy who are committed to creating exceptional outdoor gear designed for the outdoors whatever the weather. Continually innovating and evolving in terms of technology and craftsmanship, Haglöfs pioneering products are put to the test in the unforgiving Nordic landscape, where unreliable kit is simply not an option.

Which means longer lasting products made from factories powered by renewable energy sources and using much lower impact materials. A bluesign approved company, Haglöfs products are constructed using a variety
of organic cotton, hemp and recycled fabrics as well as biodegradable technology such as Lyocel and Tencell alongside low impact dyeing techniques. Guaranteed for life, 95% of Haglöfs products are either PFC free DWR or contain no DWR whatsoever.
Designed for a wide range of different outdoor activities covering everything from Ski touring to ice climbing, thanks to their sleek minimalist designs and tasteful colour palettes Haglöfs gear is also ideal for everyday activities too. Keen to inspire exploration both physically and mentally through embracing the outdoors this season, Haglöfs create their boundary-pushing performance wear with a view to encouraging us all to head out and enjoy our natural surroundings together.
Combining outdoor versatility, sustainable materials and classic colour palettes Urban Industry’s key pieces from Haglöfs cover everything from classic t-shirts through to highly technical waterproof shells. Constructed from super comfortable,100% organic cotton the Haglöfs Camp Tee is a classic silhouette that’s perfectly suited to everyday use in the warmer months as well as a breathable base layer when you’re hitting the trails. Equally versatile the Haglöfs ROC Lite pants are constructed using responsibly sourced recycled materials that offer a secure fit but with room to manoeuvre. Kitted out with a multitude of pockets and a chalk bag loop to keep all your essential items close to hand.
Also constructed from 100% recycled fabric, the Haglöfs Buteo Mid jacket is a technical fleece that provides prime insulation when used as a mid-layer as well as being as a lightweight jacket in its own right for the warmer months.
When it comes to rain jackets Urban Industry has a handful of waterproof options depending on the level of protection you require. Constructed using Haglöfs’ own in house 2-layer, recycled ‘PROOF’ shell fabric, the Korp and Koyal jackets have both been designed to keep you warm and dry in signature Scandinavian style. Equally well equipped for commuting into the city or roaming around the hills both these lightweight rain jackets feature adjustable hoods, hems and cuffs to ensure a secure fit.
Taking things up a technical notch or two and geared more towards spending longer outdoors, the Haglöfs ROC GTX jacket provides year round rain and wind protection thanks to a tough 3-layer Gore-Tex construction. Featuring fully waterproof zippers, there are also a number of adjustable features to provide optimum ergonomic comfort whatever your activity. Also fully waterproofed and incredibly durable thanks to its Paclite PLUS 2.5 layer construction the Haglöfs L.I.M Gore-Tex jacket is the ultimate lightweight, outdoor jacket. Standing for ‘Less Is More’ the L.I.M range bypasses unnecessary design features in favour of minimising weight without compromising on performance in any way. Meaning that this innovative shell jacket is compact enough to be stashed away into a hip pack or the side pocket of a backpack.
Heavily invested in sustainability, road tested out in the most extreme of Nordic
environments and aesthetically pleasing due to their characteristic Swedish style, outsiders by nature Haglöfs have got all your bases covered.
