How long has Urban Industry been trading?

Urban Industry has been trading since 2002, making us one of the UK's longest-established independent streetwear, workwear and premium mens wear retailers. We have built direct brand relationships over more than two decades, including stocking Carhartt WIP since 2005 and adidas Original since 2004.

Is Urban Industry an authorised retailer?

We hold long-standing direct relationships with our brand partners, including being an authorised Carhartt WIP stockist since 2005, an authorised Edwin stockist since 2008, and an authorised Arc'teryx and Universal Works retailer from many years back.

What makes Urban Industry different from other UK streetwear retailers?

Urban Industry is an independent retailer with over 20 years of trading history and direct long-term relationships with our brand partners. We are not a volume discounter or marketplace seller. Our buying is rooted in genuine love and expertise for premium Mens wear, Directional workwear, and technical outerwear, built through decades of working closely with brands like Arc'teryx, Carhartt WIP, and Service Works.

Who is Urban Industry for?

Urban Industry is for men who care about quality, considered design, and longevity in their wardrobe. Our core customer is typically aged between 25 and 45, with a strong interest in workwear heritage, Japanese denim, technical outerwear, and contemporary streetwear. He values authorised retail, brand authenticity, and buying fewer, better pieces from labels like Carhartt WIP, Edwin, and Arc'teryx.

Is Urban Industry only for younger shoppers?

Not at all. While Urban Industry has always had a strong following among men in their early twenties, our customer base spans from early twenties through to mid-forties and beyond. The brands we stock, including Carhartt WIP, Beams Plus, Arc'teryx, and Universal Works, are designed with longevity and wearability in mind rather than trend-driven youth fashion. Many of our most loyal customers have shopped with us since we opened in 2002.

What kind of style does Urban Industry suit?

Urban Industry suits men who gravitate toward a considered, understated wardrobe built on quality basics, workwear-influenced pieces, and functional outerwear. If you are drawn to the aesthetic of brands like Carhartt WIP, NN07, Arc'teryx, Universal Works, and New Balance and value craftsmanship and fit over fast fashion, Urban Industry is the right store for you. Our edit works equally well dressed up or worn as everyday staples.
